James Elzor Orfe, 88 surrounded by his loving family passed away at Fletcher Allen Health Care on Saturday September 29, 2012. He was born in Burlington, VT on May 27, 1924 son of the late James and Elmira (Hunt) Orfe. James proudly served his country during WWII with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a Fire Chief in VT, NH and oversees. He was a treasured member of many veterans and civic organizations in Chittenden County.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Sue (Chang) Orfe of Burlington; three sons Michael Orfe; Thomas Orfe and wife Tina; Tobias Orfe; two daughters: Mary Arsenault;
Laurie Beaulieu and husband Carey all of Maine; a brother Silvestro and wife Carol of South Burlington; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also predeceased by his two sisters Katherine Orfe and Ruth Thomas.
