Michael L. Flynn, 56, passed away with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer on February 9, 2017 at the VNA Respite House in Colchester. He was born in Florida on June 21, 1960 son of the late John and Beverly (Bacon) Flynn. He married the former Margaret Juckett on October 3, 1987 in Montpelier. He grew up in Northfield and graduated from Northfield High School and earned his Bachelors Degree from Vermont Technical College. He had been employed as an engineer with IBM for numerous years, and for the last 1 ½ years for Global Foundries. Michael was a huge sports fan always routing for the Vikings, Lakers and Orioles. He was an avid golfer, runner, enjoyed working out at the gym and collecting baseball cards. Michael will be remembered for his kind heart, contagious smile and generous spirit by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Margaret Flynn of Williston, his son Nathan Flynn and daughter in law Kali Flynn of Quincy, MA his sister-in-law Deb Flynn, and 4 grandchildren Mikayla Flynn, Kolby Flynn, Mckenna Flynn and Lilley Flynn. He was also predeceased by his brother John Flynn.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday February 15, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the A W Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel, 57 Main Street, Essex Jct., VT 05452. Per Michael’s wishes there will be no other services held.
