Condolence: Dear Mary, though we never met my family was privileged to have lunch with Matt when we visited Vermont back in '03. I believe you and I spoke on the phone. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Matt and I exchanged a number of emails over the course of twenty-something years and I knew he was unwell but have only just found out about his passing.It has come as a shock. I lost my own wife back in 2013 after a long period of illness so can imagine your journey. Peace to you, from the voice-over guy in Sydney, Australia.

Condolence: I hired Matt to be the voice of Vermont ETV in the 1980's. What a voice. What a nice guy to know for many years. He was a professional's professional - always striving for perfection in his pronunciation and delivery. The man even knew the names of all the Italian opera stars! I am saddened to hear of his passing and send my condolences to his family.

Condolence: Please accept my sincere condolences. Losing a loved one in death is one of the hardest things to deal with in life. However, we can draw comfort from the Bible account of the resurrection of Jesus' friend, Lazarus, recorded at John 11: 11-14. Just as Jesus awakened Lazarus, one day we too will see our loved ones again as promised at John 5:28, 29 and Rev. 21: 3, 4. Until that day comes, it is my hope that you will continue to be comforted by the words found at Jeremiah 29: 11, 12. We are assured that when we pray to Jehovah God, he will listen.

Condolence: I met Skip in 1967 in Poughkeepsie, NY
and we became fast friends. I think our
sense of humor was equal to our music in
bringing us together. We did play in a band
together in 1969. After I moved to Colorado
in 1972 I lost contact with him as well as many
others. Our world has changed immensely
since then. Thanks to Facebook I was able
to reconnect with Skip as well as many old
friends. But Skip and I shared more than
the casual Facebook friendship and would
often have long phone conversations. And
THAT was because of our shared sense of
humor. It was definitely a little skewered. I
will always remember him fondly. I work as
a professional mall Santa during the Christmas
season and will miss the many Santa comics
Skip would send me every season. One more
final message that only Skip and the others
riding in the car that night in Poughkeepsie
would understand; Buk, Buk, Bagok!

Condolence: Matt and I were friends and roommates when he worked with me at the St. Albans radio stations. A very talented broadcaster, and an all round nice guy.
I was pleased that we hooked up on Facebook in the last year or two. I didn't know he was sick, and I'm truly sorry to see such a nice guy taken from us too soon.
