Condolence: For over two decades, I had the wonderful privilege of meeting with Brenda in her home as her "massage therapist." Due to her expansive mind and spirit, our relationship went well beyond the expected roles. Brenda was my mentor, guide, and friend, as she was to so many of you. In the bi-monthly conversations that often book-ended her massages, we celebrated - and sometimes worried over - her family, her garden, the country, and all things dear to Brenda. She was, and will remain, a great model for me, a beacon who offered a keen, perceptive mind and a gentle, embracing heart, as well as a courage I can only hope to emulate in my own waning years. To Brenda's family: Thank you for sharing her with me for all these years. She was so very proud of all of you; you are her legacy. Wishing you calm hearts, comforting friends, and clear minds in the days ahead.

Condolence: Brenda was always a lovely presence in my life. She was a member of a support group that I attended for a number of years. I remember her as being such a positive and life-affirming person; she was gentle and always had an understanding way of interacting with others. Brenda faced the end of her life with courage and acceptance and served as a role model to those she left behind of how to life life to the fullest. I will miss her and send my condolences to her large family who she loved so much.

Condolence: To Brenda's family, I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I have fond memories of her here at Full Circle Gardens. I enjoyed talking with her; she really knew her perennials! I remember when she came to an after hours event here on grasses. That's when we found out that her lawn bank where she had planted a beautiful array of daylilies and junipers to protect the bank next to her road was being torn apart by a road crew. She had done her research and let us know in no uncertain terms that the grass replacement was substandard. I so appreciate getting to know her. My nursery is better because of her. Wishing you all the time you need to grieve. Will be thinking of you.

Condolence: It was an honor to be a special educator at BHS and to work with Brenda. She was a true professional. I never tired of entering the classroom and watching her work with students. Brenda took her work very seriously and did it so well. I loved to make her laugh as her smile lit up the room. I will never forget her kindness and her ability to always do what needed to be done. My deepest condolences to her family about whom she always spoke with love.

Condolence: Dear Family of Brenda, My deepest condolences to you in your loss of Brenda. She was in my small group--support group--that met about twice a month. Brenda was a wonderful member of our group. She attended faithfully, shared her story, and was such a kind, interested listener when others told their stories. She often mentioned her family and loved you all so deeply and was so proud of each of you. She will be so missed.

Condolence: Your family has my heartfelt sympathy at Brenda’s passing. Brenda and I were colleagues for many years in the Burlington School District. She was a kind and caring person and teacher who had high expectations for herself and her students. She touched and improved the lives of ever so many young people through her teaching career and beyond in retirement. I am so glad to learn that she was able to spend time celebrating her birthday with family and friends. I expect that those will be special memories for all of you.

Condolence: I was so fortunate to have Brenda as my BHS teaching partner and mentor. I admired her knowledge and treasured her wisdom. The best part of our teaching partnership was the friendship we shared for the past 25 years. I will always cherish the long talks we had over our frequent luncheons. She was a treasure. I will truly miss my dear friend.
