Obituary for Albert Lloyd Jr.

Albert Lloyd, Jr., 83, Johnstown, Pa., passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in the presence of his beloved family. Born on April 18, 1934 in Tire Hill, Pa, son of the late Albert and Ann (Warner) Lloyd, Sr. He joins his wife Patricia, who preceded him in death in August 2003, shortly after celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Survived by son, George, married to the former Lennie Cunningham, Falls Church Va; and Lynne, wife of Steve McGrath, Essex Junction, Vermont; grandchildren, Reyna, Donny Paul, Darcy, Ryan Albert, Amy and Katy; great-grandchildren, Martina, Savannah, Wyatt, Anna, Kelly, Joey, Mirabelle, Jacoby and Lucy. Survived by brothers Raymond, married to Fay, and Ernie, both of Michigan. Albert is also survived by his beloved sister-in-law, Judie, wife of Gene Lightfoot, York, Pa and his previous son-in-law Donald Morgan, Sr., of Essex Junction, Vermont, whom he held in high regard. Member of Ferndale United Methodist Church and and avid Steeler Fan. Albert enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean and Bahamas and loved the time he spent with his family. He first retired in 1987 after 27 years on the Johnstown Police Department of which 15 years were as a K-9 handler and trainer. He served two terms as the president of District 16, National Police Canine Association, which he was instrumental in founding. After retiring from the JPD, he worked security for Crown American and the Pasquerilla Family until he retired in 2011 at the age of 77. Albert was loved by all who knew him and he knew everyone. A 2 PM Memorial Service will be held on January 4th at the Ferndale United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Ferndale United Methodist Church in Albert's memory.
