Obituary for Shirley Ann Lipka (Pouliot)

Shirley Pouliot Lipka, 77 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday January 21, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 19, 1940 in Eden daughter of the late Elphege and Cecile (Meilleur) Pouliot. Shirley loved her family and God. She happily served St. Mary's parish throughout her life. Her greatest joy was the love she shared with her sisters and family. Much joy was also brought to her through her fellowship with AGLOW. Her incredible gift and passion for sewing brought joy to so many through her giving of the beautiful quilts she made.
Shirley leaves her loving husband A. Gary Lipka of 57 years, who was her care giver to the very end. She also leaves her daughter Belinda and husband Mark Langdell, sons Bernard and John Lipka, daughter Valarie and husband Dave Hutchins, her grandchildren which brought her much joy; Jonathan, Joshua, Leah, Alexis, Ian and Chloe, her three great grandchildren held a special place in her heart., her siblings Maurice Pouliot, Pricilla and Jack McNall, Aline & Rick Sweet, Sherry and Duane Labrie, Janet Smithers, and her lifelong friend Junita and her husband Henry St. Denis.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday January 25th from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at A W Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Parish, 312 North Main Street, Cambridge Vermont at 10:00 a.m. on January 26, 2018 with a reception to follow. Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to St. Mary's Parish, P.O. Box 129, Cambridge, VT 05444.
