This Book of Memories memorial website allows family and friends a place to re-visit, share and enhance this tribute for future generations.
Carol was one of the kindest, most compassionate people I've known. I always felt lighter after getting to run into her for a short chat at work. Once, I was really upset and worried about a personal issue and Carol took the time to lend an ear and a hug. She even cried in empathy with me. She often laughed with me, and hers was a face I looked forward to seeing in the Davis Center. The world lost a treasure with her passing, but I am richer for the little time I did get to spend with her. I'll miss her.
It's been years since we have seen each other. I wish we would have stayed in touch, you sound like the kind of lady I would have loved spending time with. The memories I have, as children, cousins, growing up so close to our grandparents, will have to do. I just can't believe you were taken from your family and this world so prematurely. Your beautiful soul/sparkle must have been needed elsewhere.
Carol,
Your smile and outwardly friendly demeaner will be missed by all. May it always continue to brighten your new friends and all of us you look over.
I send my heartfelt sympathy to all of Carol's family. Gone much too soon. She leaves a lovely legacy and we will meet again at a Weltzin Cousin Reunion with our loved ones who have gone before...
Carol was a kind, talented woman who brought sunshine with her wherever she went. I’m so proud to have known her. I will miss her—all of us will miss her. Love and strength to us all in dealing with her loss.
As a fellow UVM staff member and frequent visitor to the Bookstore, I can never remember a time when there was NOT a smile on Carol's face. Such a tremendous loss of a human gem.
So very sorry for your loss. Carol and her family were my first neighbors when I moved into my apartment in Essex. I remember feeling so welcomed and enjoying her warmth and laughter. I later had an opportunity to catch up on family news when we both worked in the school district. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers and will always be grateful for her kindness and generous spirit.
Carol you will be missed dearly. Our hearts go out to the whole family and this community who are mourning the loss of your sweet, lively soul. Mary and the girls at the salon are so very sorry and saddened for you having to leave us so soon. Until we meet again, your beautiful smile and laughter will be missed by us all. May you shine through your children and family, and your light always shine on forever.
