Catrina R. Noyes
ELMORE - Catrina R. Noyes, 69, passed away at home in Elmore on October 19, 2018, surrounded by friends, after a year and a half long battle with ALS.
Born 1948 in Norwich, Connecticut to Elizabeth Starr (Noyes) and George Outwater DVM.
Catrina's love of Vermont started when she attended Teela-Wooket camp in Roxbury, VT as a teenager. After attending the Knox School in St James NY, she lived in Boston for several years before moving to her chosen state - Vermont. Graduating from Norwich University and working in Human Services, she chaired the Alzheimers Support group in Montpelier for several years. She lived in Montpelier, Barre, Williamstown and Washington VT, eventually settling in Elmore. More recently, she invented the position of "Coupon Lady" at Price Chopper and delighted in helping people get the best "bang for their buck" shopping.
She leaves her partner of 27 years Susan Southall, sister: Barbara White, brothers: Dennison Gibbs and Brent Outwater, nieces: Stacey Cupka, Starr Cummings, Karen Bilotti and Brenda Mandele, nephews: Burnett Cummings, Stephen Gibbs and Tommy Outwater, Several grandnieces and grandnephews, many loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister Elizabeth Cummings and one niece Cynthia Hager.
We would like to thank Dr. Philip Kiely, the ALS clinic at UVM, Lamoille Home Health and Hospice and 3 wonderful caregivers (Elizabeth, Kimena and Andrea) for all their support and care.
Per Catrina's wishes there will be no services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association to help fight this debilitating and devastating disease or Lamoille Home Health and Hospice.
