George Scotton

Donna Macdonald

I am sorry I am just learning of this now. I worked with George for many years until he got done from IBM. A couple would go out on our days off to socialize and listen to his beloved Jazz. After he would stop by often to tell me of his adventures....near and far. He was a great hunter and a great outdoorsman and had great pictures to share. He became quite the artist as well. It was amazing what he could make and paint. I have one of his "whirley gigs" on my deck. He also became quite interested in local history doing much of his research and photo copying at the South Hero town office. He was quite proud of his family and spoke of you from time to time. He had me stop and see the shop you had on one of my visits to the Carolinas...this was some time ago. I know you had wanted him to move south near you but he was a very proud, independent man and just love Vermont. Around the time of George's passing I said to our friend Larry that I had a dream about him and he was standing up straight and tall and smiling...a little eerie. I am sure he is happy and is playing Jazz for all those angels up there. Please accept my condolences..it is never easy losing a loved one. Donna from North Hero,VT
