Obituary for Marcel L. Racine
Marcel L. Racine- Franklin, VT age 78 passed away on August 7, 2021 at Granville Center Nursing Home, Granville, NY. Marcel was born August 10, 1942 in Richford, VT to Alexander and Noella (Vincent) Racine, the second of five sons.
Marcel was predeceased by his wife of 48 years Louise (Perras) Racine in October 2016. They had a wonderful marriage full of love and laughter and he missed her and her smile everyday.
He leaves behind his 3 children Tammie Racine, Tanya Racine and Todd Racine. Todd’s wife Kerri (Marcotte) and their daughter Jordan. Two grandsons, Leif Rouser and wife Cammy Rouser and Avery Mitchinson.
Marcel was predeceased by his oldest brother Paul Racine (Monica Racine) and youngest brother Dennis Racine and is survived by James Racine (Claudette Racine) and Patrick Racine. Marcel also leaves many wonderful sisters and brothers in law behind. Marcel also leaves many nieces and nephews behind including a couple he kept near and dear to his heart, namely, the Deavitt children. Marcel also leaves behind a special friend Jeannette whom he enjoyed spending time with over the last couple years while living at The Carriage House.
His family would like to thank the wonderful staff at The Carriage House in Franklin for their wonderful care over the years, he truly thought so much of all of you.
Visiting hours will take place on Monday, Aug 16, 2021 at A.W. Rich’s Funeral Home in Essex, VT from 5-7 pm. with Reverend Charles Ranges, SSE offering a prayer service at 7pm. Burial and Reception to be held at a later date.
