Obituary for Georgia Rae (Williamson) Gomez

Georgia Rae (Williamson) Gomez born in Jeffersonville, VT, peacefully fell asleep in death August 19, 2022, at the age of 82. She was the daughter of Stanley and Mary Williamson.

Georgia experienced country and farm life living. She played basketball in school. Had interests in horses, ballet, guitar, poetry, and art. But she had a real passion for sewing, and didn't mind being referred to as a "seamstress".

As a lifelong Vermonter, she recognized the beauty found here clearly pointed to the existence of a loving creator whom she came to know by name, Jehovah God. To all that would listen, she would share that Jehovah wants to give us “a future and a hope”, even becoming proficient in sign language to share it more fully.

She is survived by her son James Gomez, his wife Angela and their two sons Alex and Jamison. Her two sons Steven and David Gomez. Her brothers Richard and David Williamson. Her sister Linda Davis (Williamson). And all of the respective families of the aforementioned. Also by her spiritual family in many congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses, whom would understand what she said many times in her final days, "just around the corner".

Future arrangements will be at the convenience of the family. Much appreciation is expressed for the outpouring of support that has been received.
