Obituary for Timothy Ray Mumley

Timothy Ray Mumley, 61, of Bristol, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at home in Bristol with his loving family by his side. He was born in Essex Jct, Vermont on July 5, 1961, to Delford and Nancy (Phelps) Mumley.

Tim graduated from Essex high School in 1979 and went straight to Fort Dicks. He served in the VT. National Guard for 9 years. He drove bus for CCTA, was a police officer in Boston and worked at EPS (Environmental Product and Services). Tim also did his tree business on the side until he went full time with Tree-B-Gone in 2004. He was a diligent worker and had many regular customers that called back yearly. Tim loved anything outdoors... (his work and hunting).
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Melissa (Babcock) Mumley of Bristol VT. His mother Nancy Guillette and sister Debra Cary both of Albuquerque NM. His children and their partners, Heather Wheel of Raleigh, NC. Nickie Mumley and Seaviel Johnson of Essex VT. Christine Babcock and Andrew Koval of Colchester VT. Jim Jean and Samantha Foley of Bristol VT. Derik and Lauren Mumley of Milton VT. And his biggest joys in lifeā€¦his grandbabies. Niomi Fuller, Seaviel Johnson Jr., Andrew Koval Jr., Abigail Jean, and Addison Mumley. His two cats Gracie and Franky. A sister-in-law Jenn and her Husband Steve Richer of Essex VT. A brother-in-law David R. Babcock II of Starksboro VT. A Special Uncle, Donald Bushey and a Special Aunt, Pastor Patricia Bomberek. A few very special friends: John, Eugene and Nancy, Roger, Joe and Jake.

He is proceeded by his father, Delford Mumley in 1986 and brother, Thom Armani in 1992, his mother-in-law Gail Babcock in 2016 and father-in-law David Babcock in 2017.

The family would like to say thank you to Addison County Home Health & Hospice because we could not have done this alone!

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday September 17, 2022 with Pastor Patricia Bromberek, in Fairview Cemetery, 47 Old Colchester Road Essex Jct. A Celebration of his life will immediately follow at the VFW 73 Pearl St. Essex.
