Obituary for Bernard "Bernie" Barron

Milton - Bernie left us in the early morning hours on Monday April 29th after a short stay at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester Vt. Bernie was born on July 14th, 1950 the second of six boys to Reginald and Elda (Clavelle) Barron in Colchester, VT. Over the course of his lifetime Bernie worked many jobs making a lot of friends along the way most recently in the security field from which he retired. A die hard New York Yankee fan Bernie realized a lifelong dream and attended a game with his coworkers at the new Yankee Stadium.

Bernie leaves a long list of people that love and miss him very much, his wife of over 30 years Bunny (Bernadette) Lapointe Barron of Milton, his daughter Sherri (Lowell) Bertrand of Vergennes, stepson Christopher (Diane) Benoit of Milton, his brothers Ron (Linda) of St Albans who was with Bernie non stop during his most difficult times, Brian (Penny) of Syracuse NY, Kevin (Lisa) of Milton, and Tom (Lisa) of Burlington. He is also survived by his grandchildren Sierra, Kaleigh, Cody, Austin (Megan) , and Makayla, great granddaughter Harper as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his faithful dog “Bibbit” who spent many hours by his side during his illness. Bernie was predeceased by his parents, his brother Mike and his step daughter Theresa.

In keeping with Bernie’s wishes there will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be celebrated at the convenience of the family.

Bernie’s family would like to thank the awesome Dr’s, nurses and many wonderful volunteers at the McClure Miller Respite House that made his stay very comfortable.
