Johnson - Randall E. Langdell, 65, passed away on Tuesday May 21, 2019 at Copley Hospital in Morrisville. He was born on October 27, 1953 in Burlington son of the late Wayne P. and Roxanna (Hutt) Langdell. Randy graduated from Lamoille Union High School. He was a self-taught chef and cooked for many area places including Smuggs, Copley Woodlands in Stowe and Clark’s Nursing Home to name a few. The residents of the nursing homes loved his old fashioned and tasty dishes. Randy was happiest being in the woods hunting, sitting on a bank fishing and at home playing cribbage with his good friend Andy or his sister Nancy. He loved to garden and especially growing tomatoes and giant pumpkins. He was always willing to house and pet sit for friends and family while they were away. Randy was a quiet, kind man and will be missed by his many friends and family.

Randy is survived by his son Zadock Masson-Monteith & Jill Lanpher of Johnson, his daughter Elizabeth Masson-Monteith and grandson Brandon Allen of Hyde Park, two sisters Nancy Breault and husband Guy of Enosburg, Joan Tobin and husband Walter of Waterville, two brothers Ronald Langdell and wife Eileen of Cambridge, Ricky Langdell and wife Karen of Johnson, sister-in-law Jane Langdell of Cambridge, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also predeceased by his sister Pauline Langdell and brother Gideon Langdell.

Per Randy’s wishes no visiting hours will be held. Inurnment will be held in the family lot on Friday June 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, Waterville. A reception will immediately follow at the home of Joan and Walter Tobin in Waterville.
