I send sincere condolences to everyone. Verna was a good friend to me and Ross, my husband. We also enjoyed having Weldon & Verna's sons visit when they could. Many at Putnam City United Methodist Church remember Verna and Weldon. They were active members of the Inquirers SS Class, and Weldon met every week with the ROMEOS (retired old men eating out) until he moved to the VA home in Norman.

Brad, Mike and families, Aunt Verna was a very special lady and will be missed terribly. I remember going through OKC to visit my grandmother in Lawton. We would always stop on the way down or coming home to see your mom and dad. She always had something good to eat and open arms to welcome us. Brad and Mike, I know your mother has already found the china painting section of Heaven, and is probably teaching others how to paint. I feel very remiss for not staying in contact more often after she moved to Vermont. I have several of her china paintings that I treasure and revere.
