My husband longed for a quiet Christmas away, so I surprised him with a stay in Zach’s cottage. We fell in love with Zach who shared an eggnog with “brandy” (cognac) with us upon our arrival after the long drive. It became an annual stay. He was so kind hearted, the purple robe and crown, massive front door, twinkling lights glowing just under the snow, menus on paper bags with burnt edges in Zach’s indecipherable handwriting, cowbell to announce dinner, and a magnificent dining room (Clos Maggiore esque). The food was exotic, served in many courses. Zach created an amazing unforgettable overall experience for diners. We named our son Zachary Montgomery out of love for this unique and charming soul.
