Elton, a man about town

It was my good fortune to meet and work with Elton. We shared a few years together in the office, and I've never met a more friendly and helpful person. He always had a smile. Elton was ahead of me on the career curve, and he shared insights on navigating the sometimes turbulent waters of office politics. It was partly due to his sage advice that I was brave enough to make a big change in my career track. One of the few down sides of that move was that I was no longer working with Elton.

I discovered that we had something else in common, the Knights of Columbus Bishop Rice Council in Essex. His terms as officer predated my joining, but as a brother Knight he was always willing to lend advice and assistance to the council.

Living in a small town, it was not unusal to cross paths with Elton while we were out and about. We always took the time to catch up on news of family, work, and KofC. I will miss him greatly.
