Barbara Jean Knight (Bosley)
Barbara Jean (Bosley) Knight, 78 of Essex, passed away on Sunday December 20, 2015 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. She was born on May 20, 1937 in Burlington daughter of the late Albert and Angeline (Gingras) Bosley.
Barbara was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Class of 55. After graduation she worked for the US Air Force in Syracuse, NY, thus beginning her career with the US Government. She worked under different agencies for the US Government for over 43 years. Throughout her life she has enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends, volunteering at the Flynn Theatre. Barb was also an avid member of the UVM Victory club where she enjoyed both men's hockey and basketball games. In her later years she got to spend more time with her grand-daughters. One of her favorite pastimes was 'girls day' with her grand-daughters. Barbara was a loving and caring mother and friend to her two children. She will be missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her son William Knight, Jr. and daughter Linda Knight, brother-in-law Robert Lavalley, 3 grandchildren Paige O’Brien, Taylor Godfrey, Alyssa Godfrey, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also predeceased by her former husband William Knight, Sr. and sister Pauline Lavalley.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday December 27, 2015 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday Dec 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis, Winooski.
