I remember her lovely smile and your generosity giving me many rides to school one year --chilly car rides to Rice in your mom's tuquoise vw bug. I remember a day that we could wear whatever we wanted, instead of our uniforms, and I was all decked out in an Annie Hall outfit (my father's big white shirt and vest and jeans? Your mom was horrified! I tried to explain that it was a style but she just shook her head and insisted it would probably be because of me that they would get rid of 'free' day. The woman had standards! Big hugs to you both.
